Artist Susanne Nyholm exhibits at Inspira

Medicon Village

At the centre of Susanne's art are human encounters, interactions, and harmony, focusing on individuals who meet and mutually influence one another. Her images convey conversations, reflections, and impressions, with colours and lightness flowing freely, brought together through mixed media, including ink, acrylics, and watercolours. The people in her work function as figures in a play directed by the artist, performing roles in ongoing processes. The imagery often evokes a sense of space, typically set in an urban and frequently international milieu or scene.

When one approaches Susanne's artwork, there is a sense of both humour and tragedy. Characters appear in poetic ways, placed in various situations. The viewer is invited to explore the works, uncover a rich diversity, and engage with the feelings and emotions they evoke.

Her educational background includes evening classes at Konstfack (the University of Arts, Crafts and Design) and the Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm.

Her art has been sold to FOA, Föreningssparbanken, ALMI, Polismyndigheten, Naturvårdsverket, Region Kalmar samt kommunerna Borgholm, Vimmerby, Habo, Köping, Gnosjö, Vara, Årjäng, Kristinehamn, and more.

She has exhibited at Copenhagen Art Fair, Galleri Modern Art (Stockholm), Galerie Thuillier (Paris), Galerie Artisti (Paris), Galleri Artibrak (Haag), Heroy Kulturhus (Heroy, Norge), Peilturm Kap Arkona (Rügen), and more.
