Competency Networks for Industry Shortages:

Together with several of our member companies, Medicon Village facilitates various networks focused on critical competencies within the industry. These networks provide a platform for experienced professionals to mentor younger colleagues, fostering knowledge exchange and career advancement. Our active professional networks include the Pharmacovigilance Network, Medical Writing Network, Quality Assurance Network, and Regulatory Affairs Network. Promoting Career Opportunities Regionally:

Medicon Village actively engages in showcasing career opportunities within the region. We participate in job fairs, offering career talks and providing a dedicated portal on our website for posting vacant positions within the Skåne life science industry. Medicon Village Career Day:

Annually, Medicon Village hosts a Career Day for early career researchers in collaboration with Lund University and other partners. This event aims to inspire researchers to pursue careers in the life science industry while facilitating connections between job seekers and regional companies.

Investing in Education and Skill Development:

Over the past year, Medicon Village has spearheaded initiatives to enhance vocational training and skill development. We’ve collaborated with Komvux Malmö, the South Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Medeon, and industry partners to develop a comprehensive vocational training program for operators within the life sciences. Additionally, we’ve launched an accelerator program with SmiLe Venture Hub to support startup growth and are proud partners in The Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) elite program.

Advocacy and Influence:

At Medicon Village, we actively participate in regional, national, and international forums to advocate for issues concerning talent supply and recruitment. Through dialogue with member companies, we gain insights into challenges faced in international recruitment and use our influence to drive change and address these issues.
