Congratulations to the graduating batch of 10xHealth companies!
After a robust 11-month journey, the pilot batch of the 10xHealth scaleup program has now graduated. 10xHealth is a scaleup program targeting life science growth companies in southern Sweden (Skåne and Blekinge) and is developed by SmiLe Venture Hub and Medicon Village with partial funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
The one-year program has consisted of nine modules, each comprising a full day of lectures and workshops at Medicon Village, followed by individually tailored follow-ups with participating companies. Modules are led by experts in their respective fields, with support from SmiLe Venture Hub and Medicon Village Innovation’s experienced staff and coaches. The participants of the pilot program 2024 are Iconovo, Neola Medical, Uman Sense, Paindrainer, NanoEcho, and Cyxone.
The pilot companies, all life science scaleups with strong growth ambitions, have greatly appreciated being part of the 10xHealth program. “10x Health has provided me with some necessary insights on essential parts for a company in growth. Since we have evaluated a number of different areas, the value is quite diversified and has provided us with knowledge that we, as a company, didn’t not have prior to 10xHealth,” says Erik Frick, CEO of Paindrainer.
Hanna Sjöström, CEO of Neola Medical, also notes the value of having been able to involve the management team in the program: “I’ve particularly appreciated the in-person meetings with opportunity to deepen relationships with the other company’s management teams.” Roger Lassing, Vice President of Business Development at Iconovo, agrees: “10xHealth has helped create a common platform for discussing the company’s future strategy.”
The 10xHealth program is the first step in a long-term effort to strengthen the life science network and the conditions for growth companies in the region. The next iteration of the program will commence in August 2025, and will be open for applications in early spring 2025.
