Workshop: Innovation and internationalization activities of startups

Workshop: Innovation and internationalization activities of startups
The event has expired

An important prerequisite for companies in medtech and biotech that want to expand their business is to internationalize their activities: collaborate with foreign partners, find customers in other countries, establish foreign operations and distribution channels, protect their inventions at a global level and possibly find international investors. This is especially true for young companies in countries with a relatively small domestic market, such as Sweden. In this workshop we discuss the challenges and opportunities for young companies willing to internationalize their business through their innovative products, with a specific focus on the role of networks.

The workshop is led by Claudio Fassio, Senior lecturer at Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship.

Claudio Fassio is associate professor at the Department of Business Administration at Lund University, research affiliate at CIRCLE Centre for Innovation, Lund University and to the research centre BRICK of the University of Torino, Italy. His research interests focus on the interplay between innovation and internationalization activities of firms as well as the business linkages between industry and academia. Claudio has published more than 20 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has published policy reports for Vinnova, Tillväxtanalys and the UK Intellectual Property Office.

The workshop is part of a series of digital workshops organized January though March (2021). If you want to attend the other workshops, please register with each workshop separately. Read more about the complete scope of the series of workshops.
