Final call for participation in our scale-up programme 10XHealth

Medicon Village

16 May is the application deadline for the second round of the 10XHEALTH scale-up programme, a collaborative effort by Medicon Village and SmiLe Venture Hub designed to accelerate the growth of life science companies in southern Sweden. The programme will involve CEOs and management teams.

The programme is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of innovative scale-ups in life science, focusing on areas such as business acumen, financing, internationalisation, organisation, and effective leadership. This one-year programme comprises eight modules over twelve months, with the next round taking place from August 2025 to May 2026.

Each module consists of a one-day joint peer-to-peer workshop held onsite at Medicon Village, followed by individual one-to-one follow-up sessions to ensure that theory is applied to the participating companies’ strategic focus areas. Modules are led by external local and international experts in their respective fields.

Modules will cover topics such as strategy and governance, building a team and scaling the organisation, various types of financing to support growth, health economics, the role of sustainability and emerging technologies such as AI in creating business value and impact, market access, and the internationalisation and regulatory challenges faced by life science growth companies.

While similar programmes are well-established in countries such as the USA and the UK, they are relatively new in Sweden. The seven companies from Skåne selected for the first round were Iconovo, Neola Medical, Uman Sense, Paindrainer, NanoEcho, Pila Pharma, and Cyxone.

We are aiming for 8-10 life science companies to participate in the upcoming programme (with outreach specifically towards Swedish and Danish companies), meeting the following criteria:

  • Life science companies within BioTech, Pharma, MedTech, HealthTech, TechBio, Diagnostics, and CROs.
  • A minimum of five and a maximum of thirty employees, with a clear ambition to grow.
  • A professional and commercially oriented management team.
  • Companies that have already entered or are planning to enter international markets.
  • A financial runway of at least one year.

The 10XHEALTH programme is partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
