Guidance to prepare clinical trial results in lay language

Aixial Sverige

Short sentences. No terminology. Precise structure. It´s easy to say and harder to do.

Writing summaries of clinical trials in lay language is an EU requirement and recently the European Commission released a guidance on how to do this.

It provides detailed guidance on how to prepare, write, translate, and disseminate summaries of clinical trial results in lay language.

The document, entitled “Good Lay Summary Practice”, will be of interest to, for example, medical writers involved in the preparation of lay summaries for the new EU Database.
