Increasing interest in events and networks at Medicon Village

Interest in our set event formats and professional networks continues to grow, despite the somewhat tougher times currently facing the life science industry. Our ambition is to position Medicon Village – the largest life science park in the Nordics – as the natural meeting hub for life science in southern Sweden. To support this, we organise around 100 on-site events each year, including regular meetings for our professional networks.
Today, we operate six professional networks: the Medical Writing Network, Quality Assurance Network, Clinical Operations Network, Pharmacovigilance Network, and two Regulatory Affairs Networks covering MedTech and Pharma, respectively.
In January, we launched our newest network – the Medicon Village Clinical Operations Network. Already, 51 members have joined, with 27 attending the inaugural meeting held just a month ago.
These networks play a key role in knowledge sharing and community building within our life science park, and for the regional life science industry. A clear sign of their growing importance is the increase in membership (for free) – from 184 a year ago to 344 today – and numbers continue to rise steadily.
As for our four set event formats – Science for Breakfast, Science for Lunch, Academy (half-day), and Science After Work – attendance is on the rise. As a result, we’ve had waiting lists for several events this term. Our breakfast sessions are the most popular – aside from the social after work gatherings – attracting an average of 80 guests each Tuesday.
At the moment, ahead of the summer holidays, the following slots are still available (availability for Science After Work to be discussed):
- Science for Breakfast: 27 May, 3 June, 10 June, and 17 June
- Science for Lunch or Academy: week 20 and 21
If you’re interested in hosting your own event, we recommend getting in touch with Lottie Norrsén (lottie.norrsen@mediconvillage.se) as soon as possible to secure a time slot that best suits your needs.
