Japanese delegation visited Medicon Village
On Tuesday, 21 May, we had the great pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Japan Innovation Network to present the Lund innovation system, including our life science park, with the aim of attracting company establishments and capital from Japan.
Japan is one of the largest economies in the world and a significant trade partner for Sweden. The economic ties between the two countries are strengthened by their complementary industries, such as technology, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.
In conjunction with the Japanese visit to Sweden, Petter Hartman, CEO of Medicon Village Innovation, was elected to the Japan Bridge Scandinavia Board of Directors. Japan Bridge Scandinavia is a non-profit, nationally and politically independent member-based association dedicated to enhancing social, economic, and cultural relations between Japan and Sweden/Scandinavia. Among the members of Japan Bridge Scandinavia, you will find companies, Lund University, Malmö University, the City of Lund, and many others.
