Jobbsprånget – Sweden’s largest internship program for foreign graduates
Jobbsprånget is a four-month internship program for foreign graduates. The program gives you as an employer the opportunity to easily make use of the skills of foreign graduates, with a focus on engineers, economists, natural scientists and architects, but also IT (many developers), HR, sustainability, finance, marketing and more. It’s easy to participate and it’s completely free.
The purpose of the program is to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness and improve integration. As an employer you have the opportunity to secure future supply of skills, contribute to increased diversity and ensure social sustainability. As much as 70 % of the trainees get employment after completing the internship, either where they practiced or thanks to the internship.
Jobbprånget works closely with the Swedish Employment Agency. During the four-month internship, the interns receive compensation and are insured via the Swedish Employment Agency.
The job leap is run by the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences with funding from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and the Ministry of Economic Affairs via the Swedish Growth Agency.
Jobbsprånget collaborates with more than 700 employers nationwide. From some of Sweden’s largest employers to startups. Like Volvo, IKEA, H&M, Vattenfall and Unilever. The list can be made long.
In short:
- Jobbprånget offers free tutor workshops.
- The matching takes place collectively in Jobbsprånget’s application portal, where the candidates register and make an application. You, as an employer, then via the same portal choose which candidates you want to offer internships.
- The project language is English or “Swedish”, depending on the candidate’s language level.
- The interns are paid and insured by the Swedish Employment Agency.
- Jobbsprånget manages the preparation of internship agreements with the Swedish Employment Service.
- 7 out of 10 interns get employment after completing the internship.
