Mats Milhamre exhibits at Inspira

Medicon Village

We welcome Swedish artist Mats Milhamre as an exhibitor on our gallery wall at Inspira (in the hallway to the right of the entrance). His pieces are on display in March and April for you to enjoy, and they are also available for purchase if you're interested.

Mats Milhamre is a Lund-based artist and illustrator known for his distinctive style that captivates viewers with vibrant motifs, naïve expressions, and humorous touches. His art often depicts well-known settings from Lund and other locations, but with a personal and imaginative interpretation that evokes both smiles and recognition.

Mats has been painting since childhood, but it wasn't until 2013 that he seriously chose to pursue art. He is self-taught and has developed his artistic practice step by step on his own. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, architecture, and people, he creates artwork that spreads joy and warmth – art that makes people feel good.

During the early years of his artistic career, Mats primarily painted with oil and acrylic on canvas. Nowadays, he sketches his ideas on paper before refining them on a digital drawing tablet, where he draws the details directly on the screen – a modern canvas. This digital technique offers him great freedom to create rich, vibrant images with both precision and personality.
