Medicon Village participated in HALRIC Conference 2024
This week, Medicon Village had the privilege of joining the HALRIC Conference 2024 in Hamburg, a dynamic event that brought together 21 partners from across Europe. The HALRIC consortium, led by Lund University and funded by Interreg ÖKS, focuses on enhancing life science research through access to cutting-edge research infrastructures such as MAX IV and ESS. The conference served as a valuable platform for discussing the progress of the project and planning its future.
Petter Hartman, CEO of Medicon Village Innovation, moderated the first day’s discussions, emphasising the importance of innovation, collaboration, and the immense potential of cross-border research.
The HALRIC project aims to boost innovation capacity in the life science sector by increasing access to advanced technologies, expertise, and data solutions. This includes utilising large-scale infrastructures like MAX IV, ESS, DESY, and the European XFEL, along with key complementary facilities across Southern Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the Hamburg region.
With a consortium of 21 partners – including universities, research infrastructures, science parks, clusters, regions, and healthcare providers – HALRIC offers a unique opportunity for industry partners. Companies can benefit by collaborating on pilot projects with academic institutions, gaining access to state-of-the-art research infrastructures, and discovering the best methodologies to interpret and apply complex data.
