Increased European Patent Office (EPO) fees from 1 April 2024
The decision of the EPO Administrative council regarding new increased fees has been published. You can read more about here https://www.epo.org/en/legal/official-journal/2023/01/a2.html.
We recommend that you should take advantage if possible and pay official fees before the new fees take effect 1 April 2024.
Below are some examples of fees that will increase:
Search fee from 1460€ to 1520€.
Designation fee 660€ to 685€.
Examination fee 1840€ to 1915€.
Renewal fees:
for the 3rd year from 530€ to 690€
for the 4th year from 660€ to 845€
for the 5th year from 925€ to 1000€
for the 6th year from 1180€ to 1155€
for the 7th year from 1350€ to 1310€
for the 8th year from 1440€ to 1465€
for the 9th year from 1570€ to 1620€
