Quick New Member Take: 3 Questions to Evolve Bio

Medicon Village

We warmly welcome Evolve Bio as a new member of our life science park, located in The Spark! We asked Claudia Correa, Evolve Bio’s founder and Business & Marketing Consultant, to answer three key questions to share insights into how Evolve Bio aims to make a difference in our community and the industry in our region:

How can the life science community in southern Sweden benefit from your membership at Medicon Village?

With extensive international experience in marketing and commercialization within the life science sector, I know what it takes for the development of solid business strategies, and for the successful launch and management of products and services within this complex, competitive and regulated industry.

With Evolve Bio, my mission is to leverage the expertise I gained working at multinational companies – such as Novo Nordisk, Lundbeck, Nycomed (Takeda Pharma), and HemoCue, among others – as well as at medium and small-sized organizations, where I successfully drove the commercialization of pharmaceutical products and medical devices from pre-launch phase to the products’ end of lifecycle, from strategic planning to execution.

Evolve Bio will be supporting companies in their commercial journey by offering:

  • Strategic Business Planning and advisory.
  • Development and implementation of Market Analysis and Surveys, including mapping of customers’ profiles and needs.
  • Product Marketing Strategy, including methodologies on how to craft effective messages and content.
  • Branding services, including the development of Brands’ Visual Identity and promotional materials.
  • Digital Marketing Strategies and content creation.
  • Event and congress planning and participation support.

Since continuous market monitoring is essential for informed decision-making since day one and, by doing that, retain and attract investors, a service that is under scope is to provide Pharma and MedTech members with access to real-time, high-quality market data from trusted business intelligence platforms such as Global Data. I will be contacting the cluster members to further discuss this initiative, that I am confident will add value to their business.

What is your perspective on the opportunities for the Swedish life science industry to strengthen its international relations?

Sweden has a long tradition of research and development in life science, supported by a well-functioning ecosystem that encourages collaboration and innovation and drives development forwards.

To strengthen their international competitiveness, it is crucial for companies to develop robust business models and go-to-market strategies from day one. Evolve Bio is committed to enabling life science companies to stand-out in the international arena by providing support in the creation and execution of Global Business and Marketing strategies.

What are your major challenges in the coming year to meet market demands and trends?

Major challenges when commercializing and advertising products and services internationally include not only compliance with local regulations and effective localization of promotional materials but also selecting appropriate digital channels and content tailored specifically to diverse markets and audiences.

Digital platform usage varies significantly across target segments and geographic markets, requiring precise strategies and ongoing market intelligence. In addition, the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is significantly reshaping customer engagement and buying processes by enhancing efficiency, personalization, and decision-making at all stages of the customer journey.

Addressing these interconnected challenges requires continuous adaptation to emerging digital trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to remain relevant and competitive.
