Over 1,500 international students passed through Medicon Village on Arrival Day

During Lund University’s Arrival Day last Tuesday, around 1,500–2,000 international students were shuttled by buses from Copenhagen Airport and Lund Central Station to Medicon Village, where they were checked in and received practical help and guidance on finding their accommodation and settling into their new life in Lund and Sweden.
Lund University has accepted 4,500 international students for the autumn 2024 intake. The students come from over a hundred different countries, with the largest groups hailing from Germany, China, the Netherlands, Italy, the USA, France, Denmark, and the UK.
Among the new international students, 1,000 are exchange students, while the remaining 3,500 include degree-seeking students at both undergraduate and advanced levels, as well as participants in Double Degree, Joint Programmes, and Study Abroad initiatives.
Holding Arrival Day at Medicon Village aligns well with our talent attraction ambitions, where we aim to help build a thriving ecosystem that attracts and retains top talent, driving innovation and growth in the life sciences sector.
