As part of our Talent Attraction Programme, we’ve made it possible for both Medicon Village members and other companies and organisations within the Skåne life science ecosystem to post open life science positions in Skåne for free on our public website. Additionally, information about these open positions is published in our weekly newsletter (+5,700 subscribers), on our LinkedIn page (+12,400 followers) every Friday, and in other channels we use to distribute information.

Medicon Village actively engages in showcasing career opportunities within the region. We participate in job fairs, offer career talks, and, in collaboration with partners, annually organise the Medicon Village Career Day for early-career researchers. Competency Networks for Industry Shortages

Together with several of our member companies, Medicon Village facilitates various networks focused on critical competencies within the industry. These networks provide a platform for experienced professionals to mentor younger colleagues, fostering knowledge exchange and career advancement. Our active professional networks include the Pharmacovigilance Network, Medical Writing Network, Quality Assurance Network, and Regulatory Affairs Network. Investing in Education and Skill Development

Medicon Village is spearheading initiatives to enhance vocational training and skill development. For example, we are collaborating with Komvux Malmö, the South Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Medeon, and industry partners to develop a comprehensive vocational training programme for operators within the life sciences. Additionally, we’ve launched 10xHealth, an accelerator programme with SmiLe Venture Hub to support startup growth, and are proud partners in The Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) elite programme.

Advocacy and Influence

Medicon Village actively participates in regional, national, and international forums to advocate for issues concerning talent supply and recruitment. Through dialogue with member companies, we gain insights into the challenges faced in international recruitment and use our influence to drive change and address these issues.
