The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved Red Glead’s reduction targets for greenhouse gas emissions

Red Glead Discovery

Red Glead Discovery has set emissions reduction targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The targets covering greenhouse gas emissions from Red Glead Discovery’s operations (scopes 1 and 2) are consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement and what latest climate science has told us is needed to prevent the most damaging effects of climate change.

Red Glead Discovery recognises that urgent action is needed by every organisation in the public and private sector, and that rapid and deep emission cuts are necessary for halving global emissions before 2030 and achieving net-zero before 2050. Our targets are published at www.sciencebasedtargets.org, for further information on initiatives for more sustainability in drug discovery see www.redglead.com/about/sustainability.

We encourage other companies to align with climate science by committing to science-based 1.5°C and net-zero targets. Contact Martina Kvist Reimer, Head of Future Business, for more information on how Red Glead Discovery has initiated its climate action.
