Commercialisation

Efforts to support commercialisation

To drive innovation and business growth, we actively promote our site and members in high-impact contexts. By building a strong brand and cultivating relationships with influential organisations and companies, we create the leverage needed to boost both our members and the innovation district we are proud to be part of.

Our key initiatives:

  • Organising more than a hundred signature events each year, hosted by companies and organisations promoting their services but also addressing challenges and opportunities for life science companies.
  • Partnering and exhibiting at leading life science congresses, including The Future of Swedish & Danish Life Science and Medinnovation, to promote members.
  • We engage in collaborative projects with international partners such as universities and research institutions. Examples include the Health Cities project, which aims to improve local policy instruments for municipalities in Europe seeking to establish innovative ecosystems, and the ATMP Path2Patient initiative, which connects academic research with clinical application through dedicated ATMP platforms and early-stage decision frameworks, driving the translation of breakthrough therapies into viable, patient-centered innovations.
  • Hosting delegation visits to showcase our community, members, and the innovation district we call home.
  • Promoting our life science park in different channels, like on LinkedIn, where we are more active with more followers than most other Nordic science parks.

Added to that, we engage with major life science players, including Big Pharma, to explore collaboration opportunities that drive research and business growth for them and our community. We also work closely with Lund University, Skåne University Hospital, MAX IV, and ESS – all within walking distance. ESS, set to launch in 2027, will be the world’s most powerful neutron source, further enhancing the region’s global competitiveness.

We also share knowledge and facts about our members, community, industry, and the innovation cluster we are part of as speakers, in reports such as the annual “Medicon Village Life Science Barometer – Skåne Edition”, and more.
