Introducing Helen Greve – new Business Development Manager Leasing

Medicon Village

Medicon Village Fastighets is strengthening its organisation for business development and leasing by welcoming Helen Greve to the team. With her extensive background in property management, leasing, and client relations, she brings valuable experience and fresh perspectives to the business. To learn more about Helen and her expectations in the new role, we sat down to ask some key questions …

Who are you?

– I started my career as a florist, then became a store manager in the clothing industry. After that, I trained as a property manager with a focus on leasing, an area I have been passionate about ever since. For the past 14 years I have worked in real estate with Wihlborgs in Malmö and with Castellum in both Lund and Malmö.

– A fun detail is that my career in Lund’s property sector actually began right here in the Ideon area. I was based at Castellum’s office on Scheelevägen, in the same building later acquired by Axis. So in a way, this feels like coming home, but in a new and exciting role. I know the area well and really look forward to helping develop it further together as part of the Medicon Village team.

– I truly enjoy my work, but when I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with soil under my nails at home in Limhamn, where I’m trying to create a garden that blooms all year round. It works, most of the time.

– Exercise is my meditation, whether it’s an early morning run, a gym session, or cycling more than an hour each way on my e-bike to Medicon Village, just as I did when working for Castellum.

– I live with my Danish husband and our cockerpoo, who has more energy than both of us put together. This guarantees plenty of long walks on the beach and in the forest. And when I need new inspiration or simply a change of scenery, I love heading to Copenhagen, whether for shopping, exploring the city, or enjoying a nice dinner out, which I never tire of.

What’s your opinion on Medicon Village and the opportunities ahead?

– To me, the real estate market in Lund is different from the one in Malmö. With 40% of all new construction in Skåne in 2023, there is a strong sense of optimism in Lund, driven by developments such as SAAB Kockums moving its headquarters here, Skåne’s largest private employer Axis expanding, ESS about to be inaugurated, and new districts like Brunnshög and Västerbro emerging. Not to mention everything happening in the innovation district, where science parks like Medicon Village and Ideon Science Park, together with Lund University and the university hospital, make a huge difference.

– I’m impressed by what we can offer as a science park, and by what we as a property company can do to help the community prosper. There is room to be proud of what we are, and of what we can become. I really look forward to the journey ahead.

How do you expect to make a difference at Medicon Village?

– There is an energy at both Medicon Village and within the wider innovation district that I look forward to being part of and contributing to. I expect to bring drive, commitment, and presence to strengthening leasing together with the team as part of this vibrant community. And to always do this with the client in focus.

– With only a week in my new role, I feel both humble and excited about all that lies ahead. It is inspiring to step into an environment where collaboration, innovation, and societal benefit go hand in hand. I truly look forward to getting to know both my colleagues internally and our tenants and partners, and to working together to create even better conditions for growth and wellbeing.

– There is so much strength and competence here, and it is clear that Medicon Village is far more than just a research environment. Our science park, and the innovation cluster we are part of, is truly unique. I look forward to strengthen the offer to both existing and potential tenants, and to make Medicon Village an even more attractive place to work and grow.

… and a comment by Anders Nelson, CEO of Medicon Village Fastighets:

– I’m really happy to have Helen on board as part of our amazing team. With Helen on board, Medicon Village Fastighets is strengthening its organisation for business development and leasing.

We face challenges we cannot control due to macroeconomic factors, but we stand strong with a solid member base, an occupancy rate of more than 90%, and a reputation for being forward-leaning, client-focused, and progressive. That, together with a strong brand and our position as the leading life science hub in our region, are the foundations on which to build a bright future.
