Launch of a CERN Alumni Network for Southern Sweden
Over the past decade, CERN has developed a large and active alumni network. An important part of its dynamism comes from regional groups established around the world, with the Southern Sweden group being one of the most recent. The CERN Alumni Network welcomes all former members of CERN personnel who left the Organisation in good standing.
The CERN Alumni Network in Southern Sweden was initiated by Viatcheslav Grishin, Senior Engineer in the Beam Diagnostics Group at ESS, and Arek Gorzawski, Accelerator Operations/Control Room Leader at ESS.
The new regional network provides an opportunity for CERN alumni in southern Sweden to stay connected, exchange experiences and build new relationships within the region’s strong scientific and international community.
The kick-off meeting of the CERN Alumni Network in Southern Sweden will take place on 24 September 2026, from 17:00 to 19:00 at Altitude Lund. The event will bring together CERN alumni and members of the local scientific and international community for an evening of presentations, exchange and informal networking.
