Senior Project Manager R&D

Camurus is in an exciting phase of growth and looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the R&D Department at the headquarter in Lund.

The role:
The Senior Project Manager will ensure effective project management leadership of Camurus’ projects across a broad range of development stages. You will oversee the end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of pharmaceutical R&D projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory standards. You will report to the Head of R&D and interface with stakeholders from various R&D functions.

This is a great opportunity to take on a key role in Camurus, contributing to the success of pharmaceutical R&D projects, driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions for unmet medical needs.

Your responsibility will include:

  • Project planning and execution
  • Budget and resource management
  • Timeline management, ensuring timely delivery of critical milestones such as formulation, analytical and pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, and product approvals
  • Cross-functional coordination, leading multidisciplinary teams comprising pharmaceutical, pre-clinical and clinical development scientists, regulatory and manufacturing experts
  • Stakeholder communication, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitation of decision-making processes and governance of assigned projects
  • Supporting SVP R&D, project teams, Business Development and other internal stakeholders with expert advice
  • Risk Management, identifying potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive resolution
  • Identifying new project and life-cycle management opportunities

Your profile:
We are looking for a senior candidate with at least 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and strong knowledge of drug development processes and regulatory requirements. You have a master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology or a related field, a Ph.D. is preferred.

You have solid Project Management and leadership skills and a proven track-record of leading pharmaceutical development projects. Experience from clinical development is seen as a strong merit. You are used to manage cross-functional project teams and interface with multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills (oral/written) in English are required.

You have a strong self-driven personality and likes to be where things happen. As a Project Manager you get things done and you easily inspire people to commit to common goals and collaboration.
