Senior Supplier Manager
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Management profile to join our Technical Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up our Supplier Management processes, managing strategic supplier relationships, leading internal supplier-related projects, and driving supplier related activities in our development projects. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable, compliant, sustainable, and cost-effective supply of high-quality materials that support our pharmaceutical manufacturing and development activities. You will report to VP Technical Operations.
The role
Among others, your responsibilities will include:
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key and strategic suppliers for APIs, excipients, packaging components, and devices, to ensure supplier performance, quality, and compliance.
- Drive supplier related activities in drug development and life cycle management projects.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, etc.) for supplier-related projects and activities.
- Drive contract negotiations and manage supply agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Ensure alignment of supplier qualifications, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring activities with the overall strategic activity plan.
- Drive supplier risk management strategies, including contingency planning for critical materials.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations (FDA, EMA, ICH)
Your profile
We are looking for a professional with at least 7+ years of Supplier Management experience from pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar industry. You have a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or related field, and a background where you have worked with supplier selection, supplier aspects in drug development projects, contract management, and performance monitoring. You possess strong business acumen together with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Basic knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems related to APIs, excipients, packaging components, and devices is a requirement.
You are self-driven, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced organization. We expect you to be solution oriented, working in close collaboration with your stakeholders. Ownership and a pragmatic mindset are key characteristics describing your personality.
