“Skånes Innovationsarena” at Almedalsveckan 2026

With 42,000 attendees and 2,400 events in 2025, Almedalsveckan in Visby is Sweden’s leading forum for public debate and opinion. In the election year 2026, on Thursday 25 June, we will together with eight other prominent representatives of innovation clusters in Skåne, organise Skånes Innovationsarena in a large tent at a prime location at Hamnplan in Visby.

Skånes Innovationsarena is a unique collaboration between AMYNA, Ideon Science Park, Lunds kommun, Lund University, Malmö University, Medeon Science Park, Medicon Village, Region Skåne and Science Village Scandinavia. Ideally, this collaboration could have included twice as many partners to meet the strong interest and even better reflect the strength of innovation in Skåne, but space is limited and prioritisation has therefore been necessary. In addition to the confirmed collaborators, there will be opportunities for other representatives of innovation in Skåne to take part as panellists and attendees.

Raising awareness of the Skåne innovation ecosystem

This initiative is a joint effort by the prominent companies and organisations involved, as a continuation of the former Öresundshuset, with the aim of raising awareness of all the fantastic things happening in our part of the country while showcasing the power of collaboration between academia, industry and the public sector.
