Välbehandlad patient – när behandling, uppföljning och partnerskap ger önskad effekt
On Wednesday 24 June, we organise Life Science-dagen in a large tent at Hamnplan, in collaboration with AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Chiesi, Lund University, Novo Nordisk, Roche and SmiLe Venture Hub.
At 15.00-15.45, there will be a seminar in Swedish on ”Välbehandlad patient – när behandling, uppföljning och partnerskap ger önskad effekt”, hosted by AbbVie. Please note that the program and its speakers/panelists might be updated before it takes place – updated program in the official program for Almedalsveckan.
Seminar focus
Despite major investments in healthcare and innovative treatments, the desired outcomes are not always achieved. Many patients do not receive the follow-up and evaluation needed to ensure that treatments remain effective throughout the entire care pathway – and the potential of data-driven approaches and collaboration between healthcare providers and patients often remains underutilised.
How do we create the healthcare of the future, where more people achieve their treatment goals and both individuals and society gain the greatest possible benefit? Could the key lie in systematic follow-up, smart use of data, and close collaboration between patients and healthcare providers?
Welcome to a seminar on the importance of follow-up, evaluation, and collaboration in achieving treatment goals. We will highlight broad perspectives from both industry and healthcare, and provide concrete insights from healthcare settings where successful data-driven follow-up and evaluation are leading to improved treatment outcomes. We will also explore the role of the patient, giving voice to perspectives that demonstrate why it is essential to view the patient as a partner and active participant in the development of healthcare. Finally, a panel discussion will examine how, at both national and local level, we can work together to create greater value for individuals and society, and steer healthcare development in the right direction.
Life Science-dagen aims to establish a high-profile, unified forum and meeting point dedicated to life science at Almedalsveckan, in line with our role as the largest life science park in Scandinavia.
During Almedalsveckan 2026 Medicon Village also organise Skånes Innovationsarena on Thursday 25 June.
