Kampen om kompetensen
On Thursday 25 June, we will take part in Skånes Innovationsarena in a large tent at Hamnplan, in a unique collaboration with AMYNA, Biotech Heights, Ideon Science Park, Lunds kommun, Malmö University, Medeon Science Park, Medicon Village, Region Skåne and Science Village Scandinavia.
At 11.00-11.45, there will be a seminar in Swedish on ”Kampen om kompetensen”, hosted by Lunds kommun/Cross-border Talent Bridge. Please note that the program and its speakers/panelists might be updated before it takes place – updated program in the official program for Almedalsveckan.
Seminar focus
Access to the right skills and expertise is crucial for growth and innovation. How can we make the Øresund Region more attractive and inclusive? Sweden and Denmark need to act together to create a dynamic and inclusive labour market that attracts global talent.
Securing the right skills is one of the most critical challenges for the future competitiveness of both Sweden and Denmark. The Greater Copenhagen labour market region offers unique opportunities, but also faces clear obstacles when it comes to attracting and retaining the talent needed for continued growth. At a time of intense global competition for skilled professionals, Sweden and Denmark must work together rather than in parallel.
How can collaboration between Sweden and Denmark be strengthened to meet the needs of businesses? How can national authorities, regional initiatives, municipalities and industry work together more effectively? These are some of the key questions that this panel discussion aims to explore.
The discussion is closely linked to the ongoing Cross-border Talent Bridge initiative, led by the Municipality of Lund in collaboration with the Municipality of Copenhagen, Medicon Village Innovation, Ideon Science Park, OpenTech and Medicon Valley Alliance, and co-funded by the Interreg Øresund–Kattegat–Skagerrak Programme.
Moderator: Ideon Science Park.
