Kampen om kompetensen
On Thursday 25 June, we will take part in Skånes Innovationsarena in a large tent at Hamnplan, in a unique collaboration with AMYNA, Biotech Heights, Ideon Science Park, Lunds kommun, Malmö University, Medeon Science Park, Medicon Village, Region Skåne and Science Village Scandinavia.
At 11.00-12.00, there will be a seminar in Swedish on "Kampen om kompetensen", hosted by Lunds kommun/Cross-border Talent Bridge. Please note that the program and its speakers/panelists might be updated before it takes place – updated program in the official program for Almedalsveckan.
Seminar focus
Access to the right competences is crucial for growth and innovation. How can we make the Øresund Region more attractive and inclusive? Sweden and Denmark need to act together to create a dynamic and inclusive labour market capable of attracting global talent.
Talent supply is one of the most critical future issues for the competitiveness of both Sweden and Denmark. Within the Greater Copenhagen labour market region, there are unique opportunities – but also clear barriers – when it comes to attracting and retaining the right competences. At a time of intense global competition for talent, Sweden and Denmark need to act together, rather than in parallel.
How can we strengthen collaboration between Sweden and Denmark to meet the needs of industry? How can national actors, regional initiatives, municipalities, and businesses cooperate more effectively?
The topics addressed in this panel discussion align closely with the ongoing Cross-border Talent Bridge initiative, led by in close collaboration with Köpenhamns kommun, Medicon Village Innovation, Ideon Science Park, OpenTech and Medicon Valley Alliance, and co-funded by the Interreg Öresund–Kattegat–Skagerrak programme.
