Returning Member Spotlight: Agardh Recruitment & Consulting
We warmly welcome Pernilla Agardh back, with her Agardh Recruitment & Consulting as a returning member of our life science park, located in the cowork section of The Spark!
According to Pernilla, Agardh Recruitment & Consulting supports life science and tech companies with senior recruitment and tailored consulting. She helps companies find the right competence, build effective teams and make thoughtful recruitment decisions with structure, honesty and genuine care.
We asked Pernilla three key questions to highlight what makes her a trusted and versatile life science partner:
How can the life science community benefit from your membership at Medicon Village?
”Having spent more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry and almost 10 years running my own recruitment consultancy, I hope to contribute with both industry knowledge and a strong network.
I enjoy connecting people and companies, sharing experiences and learning from others. Medicon Village brings together a great mix of life science companies, from innovative startups to well-established organisations, creating an inspiring environment for collaboration and exchanging ideas. That’s one of the reasons why I’m so happy to be back!”
What makes Agardh Recruitment & Consulting a unique and reliable partner?
”I think my background makes a difference. Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, I understand the environment my clients operate in and the challenges they face.
I support life science and medtech companies with recruitment, from specialist positions to management roles, as well as team development.
I’m also very hands-on. When working with me, you work directly with me throughout the process. I like to get to know the people behind the company, understand their needs and find candidates who bring not only the right expertise but also the right mindset.
My approach is structured and competency-based, with a strong focus on fairness, diversity, and long-term matches. I believe in building relationships based on trust, openness, and good communication.
For me, successful recruitment isn’t simply about filling a position. It’s about helping people and organisations grow together.”
What challenges and opportunities do you see in the coming year?
”We live in an increasingly uncertain and unpredictable world, which brings both challenges and opportunities for life science companies.
I believe flexibility will be more important than ever, including when it comes to recruitment. Companies may not always need support with an entire recruitment process, but rather with specific parts, such as finding hard-to-reach candidates, assessing talent, or simply adding extra capacity when needed.
I also see an opportunity for recruitment consultants to act more as a strategic partner, helping companies think ahead about their competence needs rather than simply filling vacancies.
And of course, we cannot ignore the impact of AI. Some roles will evolve, certain tasks may disappear, and new opportunities and skill requirements will emerge. I think curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to rethink how we work will be key.
For me, it’s about staying open-minded, finding solutions that fit each company’s needs and, above all, remembering that recruitment is ultimately about people.”
