10XHealth: Round 2 in our accelerator programme is live!
Today we kicked off Module 1 of our accelerator programme 10XHealth together with co-organiser SmiLe Venture Hub. C-level leaders from Gasporox, Genovis, Ironic Biotech, Lumito, Redoxis, Suturion and Truly Labs joined us for a “Health Check” to assess business health and growth potential, expertly guided by Malin Jonsson and Kristian Engberg (Good Accelerator).
Here’s some learnings from them after this first module:
What is your reflection after having guided our participating companies in your module?
”It was really inspiring to work with such engaged people – all very passionate about their ideas and companies. Having scale-up businesses in the same room was both helpful and energising. Many face the same kinds of challenges, which made it easy for them to relate to each other. They shared experiences, gave useful tips, and inspired one another.”
Would you please list three major challenges to scale-ups regarding the expert area you represented with your module, and examples of how to deal with them?
- Prioritisation. When running a scale-up, it’s not hard to find things you could do – there are plenty of ideas and opportunities. But time and resources are limited, and many leaders end up firefighting. The key is to focus on doing the right things. Our method at Good Accelerator, which we introduced during the day, helps companies create a clear business plan where priorities and goals are directly connected to operational follow-up – ensuring focus and execution.
- Reflection. Taking time to reflect is one of the most important habits for a leader in a scale-up phase. Regular reflection helps leaders stay focused on what truly matters, track progress, and develop self-awareness. It’s a powerful tool for both personal leadership and company growth.
- Shifting from inside-out to outside-in. During the start-up phase, most funding comes from investors, so the focus is often internal – product development, structure, survival. But in the scale-up phase, profitability need to become the target, which means revenue must come from customers. That requires an outside-in mindset toward the market and customer needs. Our way of working – “flipping the pyramid” – means putting the people closest to the customer at the top, enabling a more agile and customer-driven organisation.
What do you hope the companies participating in the 10XHealth prgramme will do next after this first module?
”We’ve shared our methods and given the companies tools that we know work in business transformation – we’ve used them with many businesses over the years. Our hope is that they now take the time to integrate the tools into their daily work. We’re also looking forward to following up with the companies individually in the upcoming coaching sessions.”
Malin Jonsson and Kristian Engberg represent Good Accelerator, a network of senior leaders with diverse backgrounds and expertise who support owners and executives in accelerating growth and transformation by unlocking the collective power of people. They do this by strengthening three areas at the same time: Business Power, People Power, and Action Power.
Over the coming 10 months, these scale-ups will take part in a tailor-made journey designed to accelerate life science innovation. The programme is powered by Medicon Village Innovation and SmiLe Venture Hub, and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
