Från vision till verkstad – en hållbar hälso- och sjukvård

On Wednesday 24 June, we organise Life Science-dagen in a large tent at Hamnplan, in collaboration with AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Chiesi, Lund University, Novo Nordisk, Roche and SmiLe Venture Hub.

At 08.00-08.45, there will be a seminar in Swedish on ”Från vision till verkstad – en hållbar hälso- och sjukvård”, hosted by AstraZeneca. Please note that the program and its speakers/panelists might be updated before it takes place – updated program in the official program for Almedalsveckan.

Seminar focus

Sweden as a proactive life science nation – how do we strengthen our competitiveness and shorten the path from research to patient?

The programme includes a reflection on Tuesday’s presentations hosted by AstraZeneca, where new plans and strategies for improving healthcare outcomes for large patient groups were presented. Concrete action is required to ensure that innovations reach all patients equally within a sustainable healthcare system – this session reflects on the next steps needed for Sweden to remain a leading nation in life science. AstraZeneca’s Suzanne Håkansson will moderate a panel consisting of regional councillors, representatives from the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis, and LIF.

Life Science-dagen aims to establish a high-profile, unified forum and meeting point dedicated to life science at Almedalsveckan, in line with our role as the largest life science park in Scandinavia.

During Almedalsveckan 2026 Medicon Village also organise Skånes Innovationsarena on Thursday 25 June.
