On August 30th, Forum Medicum, the new center for life science research and education at Lund University's medical faculty, was officially inaugurated. This state-of-the-art facility is set to become a cornerstone in advancing life science research and education, not only in Lund but throughout Sweden.

The inauguration was a grand event, attended by esteemed guests. Naturally, Medicon Village was also among the honored attendees.

"Forum Medicum is an essential component in strengthening life science research, not only within Lund but across the entire country. This splendid new building perfectly aligns with the ambition to promote collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the field of life sciences," said Petter Hartman, CEO of Medicon Village Innovation.

Designed by Henning Larsen Architects, the new building can accommodate around 4,000 students, researchers, and staff. Strategically located in the heart of Lund's innovation district, Forum Medicum is destined to become a central hub for health science at Lund University — one that holds the promise of innovation, collaboration, and groundbreaking discoveries for the future.
