Interview: Get to know our new member Keyplants
KeyPlants joined Medicon Village in March this year. Its mission is to provide fast-track, high-quality facility design and construction, as well as turnkey modular facility solutions, for the life science and advanced technology industries, delivering modular, off-site manufactured facilities globally, and professional services and traditional installation projects in Scandinavia. We asked Roger Stagmo, KeyPlants’ business manager, about their recent integration into Medicon Village and the offerings their company brings to the table.
What motivated KeyPlants to join Medicon Village?
KeyPlants wants to be part of the bustling and innovative environment at Medicon Village, where we can share knowledge and experience within the community.
What qualities do you believe set KeyPlants apart from others in your industry?
How do these qualities contribute to the value you offer your customers? KeyPlants possesses unique expertise in designing and delivering fully regulated facilities for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and MedTech sectors. Our world-leading proficiency lies in modular offsite construction, where modules are built in our workshop and delivered nationally and internationally. Additionally, we have developed pre-designed modular cleanroom solutions, available in various sizes and cleanroom classes, that can be swiftly delivered.
What sets us apart is our ability to support customers throughout the entire value chain, from product conception to market launch. Our comprehensive offering includes in-house design, technical documentation, regulatory affairs expertise, and specialized knowledge in biologics, aseptic filling, containment, API, and oral solids.
What is the process of collaboration between KeyPlants and its clients from initial consultation to project completion?
For most of our projects, we typically commence with front-end studies tailored to the customer's desired scope. Collaborating closely with the customer, we ensure alignment towards the desired solution. As the project progresses, our responsibility intensifies, leading to more extensive and detailed studies. Upon completion of our studies, we furnish the customer with a specified total solution, along with estimates of the total investment cost and an execution schedule.
Throughout the detailed design and implementation phase, we maintain close collaboration with the customer, conducting continuous reviews to manage schedule and costs effectively. Hand in hand, we work together until the final product or plant is complete.
How does KeyPlants stay updated with the latest advancements and regulations in cleanroom technology and pharmaceutical manufacturing?
As part of our daily operations, our staff stay updated on emerging technologies and upcoming updates to relevant regulations and standards.
What specific initiatives or projects are you prioritising to foster innovation in 2024?
Sustainability is one of our key focus areas, and we're proud to have recently earned the EcoVadis Gold rating. Our commitment to sustainability is ongoing and remains a central focus. In terms of our consultancy services and client support, we're dedicated to further strengthening our already robust team specializing in medtech and combination products.
