Cellevate Announces Leadership Change
LUND, Sweden – March 23, 2026 – Cellevate today announces leadership change as CEO Laura Chirica moves on to new opportunities. The Board of Directors has appointed Karsten Fjärstedt as Interim CEO, effective immediately.
The Board has initiated a search process for a permanent CEO and will announce a successor in due course.
The Board would like to thank Laura Chirica for her significant contributions to the company. During her tenure, she played an instrumental role in building the organization and advancing Cellevate’s strategy and financing, helping position the company as an innovator and emerging force in industrial bioprocessing for next-generation biotherapies. The Board wishes her continued success in her future endeavors.
The Board is also pleased to welcome Karsten Fjärstedt as Interim CEO during this important phase of the company’s development. Karsten brings more than 30 years of experience from the bioprocessing industry, including senior leadership roles at Bio-Works and GE Healthcare. He has extensive expertise in commercialization, operations, and production, and a strong track record of scaling businesses within the bioprocessing sector.
