Lao Saal, Associate Professor at Lund University and founder of SAGA Diagnostics, is the subject of an extensive new feature published by Lund University.
Earlier this spring, SAGA Diagnostics was acquired by Foundation Medicine, part of Roche, in a deal valued at up to USD 595 million.
The story follows Lao Saal’s journey from cancer patient to researcher and entrepreneur, alongside SAGA Diagnostics’ development from academic research to commercial success within the innovation ecosystem around Medicon Village, at the heart of Lund Innovation District, where university researchers, clinicians, startups and established companies work side by side to advance healthcare innovation.
