New Member Spotlight: Vivante Health Services
We warmly welcome Vivante Health Services as a new member of our life science park, located in our coworking space in The Spark at Medicon Village!
Vivante Health Services is a strategic consultancy that helps life science companies scale across the Nordics and Europe. They specialize in sales strategy and tender management, bridging the gap between a great innovation and a winning public contract. From crafting appealing unique value propositions to understanding increasing sustainability demands and building “must-have” tender documentation for various EU markets.
We asked Vivante Health Services’ founder Åsa Fransson Hyberg three key questions to highlight what makes them a trusted and versatile life science partner:
How can the life science community in southern Sweden benefit from your membership at Medicon Village?
– Through Vivante, I provide the ”missing link” between having a great product and actually winning public contracts across Europe. The community can access hands-on expertise in Tender Management and International Sales Strategy, moving beyond theory into operational success.
– Many companies struggle with the specific ”must-haves” of different regions. I help them navigate questions like: Do you know the mandatory requirements for a bid in France versus Norway? Do you know where and how to look for public opportunities?
– By being present at Medicon Village, I can help local companies build the right documentation, understand buyer expectations, and scale their innovations faster into the big European markets.
What are your major challenges in the coming year to meet market demands and trends?
– I see only opportunities! Jokes aside, I would say two things: sustainability focus and operational efficiency:
- Sustainability as a gatekeeper: There is a misconception that sustainability requirements are slowing down. In reality, I do not see that. Many demands are becoming mandatory ”entry tickets.” For example, without a Carbon Reduction Plan, you cannot sell to the NHS or without ISO14001 certification, it is hard to compete in the Nordics. My challenge is ensuring companies invest in these areas early enough so they don’t get locked out of key sales channels.
- The efficiency gap in tenders: I see many companies ”stuck” in heavy, manual tender processes that drain resources. My goal is to help them restructure their tender management. This means building better internal workflows and identifying where they can gain an edge, whether that is through better organization, implementing dedicated tender management systems, or utilizing AI tools to handle repetitive tasks. It’s about making the process scalable so the team can spend more time on more high-value tasks.
Where does the name “Vivante” come from and how does it drive your mission?
– The name is a remnant of my time in Switzerland; in French, Vivante means ”alive” or ”vibrant.” It reflects my passion for both people and the planet. I often say the most sustainable hospital visit is the one that never has to happen! That is why Vivante focuses on two things:
- Systemic Health: by encouraging and helping companies win bids for products that brings value not only to the patients but ideally also to the planet and,
- Individual Health: by inspiring people to live (more) sparkling lives, eat and move in ways that support both the body and the planet.
– I believe we can definitely have a more sustainable healthcare systems if we get these two things right and I want to contribute!
