NLSDays 2023 kicked off with engaging pre-events and the official Welcome Reception at Medicon Village

Medicon Village

Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays), the premier Nordic partnering conference dedicated to the life science industry, marked its illustrious 10-year anniversary with a resounding success. The two-day conference, held at the renowned Bella Centre in Copenhagen from November 29-30, brought together an impressive assembly of over 1,600 participants representing 900 companies and organisations from across the globe.

NLSDays took off with a series of engaging pre-events on the Swedish side of the border at Medicon Village, setting the stage for insightful discussions, compelling pitches, and invaluable networking opportunities.

The Greater Copenhagen Region Investors Pre-Event, organised by Invest in Skåne, Copenhagen Capacity, and Medicon Valley Alliance, kicked off in the afternoon on 28 November with investors gathering to hear pitches from 15 dynamic life science companies based in Sweden, Denmark, and France specialising in oncology, neurology, and cell and gene therapies.

In parallel, Medicon Village was part of the Skåne eco-system tour organised by Invest in Skåne, where international delegates from NLSDays had the opportunity to explore Skåne’s vibrant life science ecosystem, visiting and learning from key actors such as SmiLe Incubator, European Spallation Source Eric, MAX IV Laboratory, Lund Stem Cell Centre, and the ATMP Centre at the Skåne University Hospital.

The day culminated at the official NLSDays Welcome Reception held at Medicon Village, where hundreds of delegates convened for an evening of inspiration, networking, and mingling against the backdrop of live music, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. The Welcome Reception was organised and supported by Invest in Skåne, Medicon Village, SmiLe Incubator, Medeon, Medicon Valley Alliance, Lund University, and Region Skåne.

Medicon Village continued its active participation at NLSDays in Copenhagen over the following two days, engaging in numerous discussions and partnering meetings with companies interested in utilising the science park as a dynamic platform for research and business growth.

We look forward to further strengthening Nordic life science with a continued engagement at NLSDays next year, when it returns to Malmö in September 2024.
