Sustainable Gene Therapy Innovation: Platforms, Tools, and Talent
Discover how Lund Stem Cell Center drives advances in stem cell science – transforming research into treatments for cancer, blood disorders, and neurological conditions, and helping to shape a healthier future for all.
If we want more gene therapies to reach patients, we need available tools and skilled people. In Skåne, large efforts are underway to build the talent and create the conditions for faster, safer, and more equitable patient access to these revolutionary treatments.
Three Takeaways
- More gene therapy to patients with open tools – freely available delivery systems for genetic material remove barriers and speed up innovation.
- Lund University is building future talent through the Lund Stem Cell Centre – offering new education programs focused on therapies using living cells and genes.
- Collaboration is the catalyst – when education, infrastructure, and policy align, gene therapies will reach patients faster.
