Invitation to High-level Delegation to India

Medicon Village

Swecare and the Sweden-India Business Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the Embassy of Sweden in India, and the Confederation of Indian Industries, invite you to the high-level delegation to India. The delegation will be jointly headed by State Secretary Michaela Hollis, and india-Sweden Business Leaders' Roundtable (ISBLRT) Co-Chair Leif Johansson.

The delegation is a unique opportunity for high-level representatives of Swedish healthcare companies, including Indian subsidiary leaders, and other actors to join Team Sweden, to showcase innovative solutions, increase market insights, as well as to engage with both Indian and Swedish key stakeholders.

The delegation is conducted within the framework of the MoU between Sweden and India in the area of Health and ISBLRT Life Science, both reflecting the strategic partnership between the two countries. The aim is to deepen the collaboration and offer an understanding of India’s priorities in the life sciences sector. It will also offer opportunities to network and connect with key stakeholders from both Sweden and India. Of particular interest are how data, emerging technologies and regulatory frameworks are shaping new models of care, innovation, and public health.

The programme will focus on three key hubs:

  • Delhi – the centre of national policymaking
  • Mumbai – India’s financial and commercial capital, home to leading companies, investors, innovators, and major hospital groups.
  • Chennai – a return visit following the successful 2024 programme, enabling us to reconnect with the region’s vibrant life science innovation ecosystem.

In light of the announced free trade agreement, India is a strategically interesting market. We hope that you will want to be part of this selective delegation to deepen the dialogue, strengthen your international network and gain a qualified insight into how India drives innovation and implementation in healthcare.
