Call for grant applications 2026 from Mats Paulsson’s Foundation for Research, Innovation and Societal Development

Medicon Village

The non-profit foundation that owns Medicon Village, The Mats Paulsson’s foundation for research, innovation and societal development, promotes scientific research in life science. Since 2019, priority is given to supporting research projects with high innovation potential and relevance to society in the near future.

Since 2019, the Foundation has awarded SEK 104.2 million in grants to 47 research projects of this type at Lund University and Malmö University.

With the above-mentioned focus, the Foundation invites the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and Malmö University to prioritise applications within the following project types in 2026:

  • Innovative research projects in life science.
  • Innovative research projects specifically in ATMP and/or cancer.
  • Equipment critical for the implementation of specific innovative research projects in the above-mentioned areas.

Applications must be registered and submitted via the Foundation’s application system by no later than April 28, 2026.
