3 ways we develop talent attraction and retention

We are now further developing how we act as a meeting point for job seekers and companies and organisations seeking life science talent. As part of this ambition, we have, since December 2023, actively promoted open positions free of charge and are now taking three steps to do this even more effectively:

  • We are expanding the reach of our Open Positions initiative to fully include the region in which we are an active part – Medicon Valley – by running a pilot to assess whether it benefits our region to promote open life science positions in Skåne and Denmark. We are starting with Ferring Pharmaceuticals, which last week sought a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. We promote these positions on our public website, in our weekly Monday newsletter (7,300+ subscribers), and on our LinkedIn page (19,400+ followers), where positions are highlighted every Friday. According to those posting openings, the initiative is proving highly effective.
  • We provide curated links that may be of interest to job seekers. This includes links to events in our region, as well as reports and newly published information relevant to students, PhD candidates, and others ready to take the next step in their careers.   • This spring, we aim to add internships to our list of opportunities. While the exact format is still to be determined, the ambition is clear, as our job promotion efforts already generate significant reach among students and PhD candidates.

We also organise in-person matchmaking activities, provide training, inspire future talent, integrate global expertise, and run eight professional networks for knowledge sharing and networking. By combining job promotion, training, mentoring, and international collaboration, we help build a stronger life science workforce, ready to turn research into impact.
