Coffee & Conversations

It’s time to welcome Stefano Vergani back to Lund. After finishing his PhD in molecular medicine at Hofstra University (New York), Stefano joined Joan Yuan’s lab at BMC in 2017. During his postdoctoral training Stefano was studying the developmental origin of plasma cells committed to the production of antibodies in our body, particularly those residing in the small intestine. In 2023 Stefano left Lund for new career opportunities, now working as a Group leader in B cell immunology at Miltenyi Biotec HQ, Germany. Working as a scientist at Miltenyi Biotec, meaning being a part of Miltenyi Biotec’s R&D team that thrive on being proactive, independent and driven by science. Next to working on his own research projects Stefano is developing new and current products aimed to support reliable and innovative solutions for B cell research all over the world.
In true B cell spirit, we aim to interact with and recognize our continuously growing B cell population in Lund. Stefano will present his research work and reflect on his adaptive career path. Now working at Miltenyi Biotec R&D, Stefano will express how he is using cross-linking tools and evolving skills to develop both his B cell research and Miltenyi Biotec’s growing B cell portfolio. We hope that this hour will mature and differentiate into an inspiring hour and learnings will be kept in memory and included in future fate decisions. Together we perform B cell research aimed to improve B cell function for better health.
Also, when you need an antibody, both B cells and Miltenyi Biotec got your back.
