Medicon Village Investor Panel 2026 brings international investors and life science companies together
Following the success of last year’s inaugural edition, Medicon Village hosted the 2026 Medicon Village Investor Panel (MVIP), bringing together eight innovative life science companies with a diverse group of investors from Sweden, the Nordic countries, Europe and the United States.
The initiative aims to strengthen investment readiness among early- and growth-stage life science companies while creating a platform for meaningful dialogue, feedback and connections between entrepreneurs and investors.
The eight companies participating in this year’s panel – Asgard Therapeutics, Aventera Antibodies, Dx4Life, Gedea Biotech, ImmuneBiotech, Lead Biologics International, rAAVen Therapeutics and Xaga Surgical – represent a broad range of technologies and approaches across the life science sector. Together, they showcase the depth and diversity of science and innovation emerging from Medicon Village, Lund and the wider Skåne life science ecosystem.
The 2026 edition also marked a significant expansion of the international perspective within MVIP. Ten investors from the Swedish and international investment community participated in the event, with representation from the Nordic countries, other parts of Europe and the United States. This broader investor participation brought different perspectives on investment strategies, company development, and the opportunities and challenges facing life science companies as they seek to scale internationally.
The event featured company pitches followed by in-depth Q&A sessions and discussions with the investor panel. The format was designed not only to give companies visibility among potential investors, but also to provide constructive feedback and insights that can support their continued development. In the run-up to the event, participating companies also benefited from tailored pitch preparation to help them make the most of the opportunity.
“MVIP is about much more than putting companies in front of investors. It gives these promising companies the opportunity to receive candid feedback from experienced investors and build relationships that can develop over time. The increasingly international composition of the panel also reflects our ambition to connect companies from our region with relevant capital and expertise beyond Sweden,” says Sarah Lidé, Deputy CEO of Medicon Village Innovation.
“Once again we were able to gather an outstanding investor panel and 8 companies that really showed the depth and knowledge that comes out of Medicon Village,” says Markus Neuding, owner of Sedermera Corporate Finance and a permanent member of the panel.
“MVIP puts the spotlight where it belongs: on the exceptional science and entrepreneurial talent emerging from Medicon Village, Lund and Skåne, while creating direct connections with investors who can help turn that science into impact,” says Francesco Bez, Innovation Manager at Medicon Village Innovation.
By fostering access to capital – alongside its broader mission to strengthen competence and commercialisation – Medicon Village continues to drive the growth of the regional life science cluster and its global competitiveness.
